Joey Massa (they/them) is a Brooklyn-based writer, filmmaker, and intimacy coordinator. Their work has appeared at The Tank, Symphony Space, Playwrights Downtown, and the Providence Fringe Festival. They were awarded a 2022 residency with the Peter Bullough Foundation, and they were an Athena Playwriting Fellow and Fresh Ground Pepper Artist in Residence in 2019. Joey was a Semifinalist for the 2021 Moxie Incubator, the 2021 Ensemble Playwright Lab Residency, the 2022 Princess Grace Award, and the 2021 and 2022 UCross + The Blank’s Future of Playwriting Prizes.
